On Lincoln’s Trail

Lincoln’s reputation as the “rail splitter” was earned in the backwoods of Kentucky, Indiana and Illinois as the Lincoln’s moved across the prairie. He had to build split rail fences which were the only way to confine stock animals, but he did not like the work!
