February 25, 2:00pm - Whistle Stop Talk: Speaker Marjorie Schwarzer will discuss "Americans and Their Krazy Kollections". Danville Town Hall, 201 Front Street

Ms. Schwarzer is an acclaimed writer, educator and lecturer. From 1996-2011, she was professor and chair of the Department of Museum Studies at John F. Kennedy University. She has authored many books and articles about issues impacting museums. Her book, Riches, Rivals and Radicals: 100 Years of the Museum in America was published in 2006 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the American Association of Museums. The book was the basis for an award winning Public Television show of the same title. The program can be viewed at the Museum of San Ramon Valley in conjunction with our current exhibit.



March 27, 2:00pm - Building an Iconic Bridge. Enjoy the story of the new Bay Bridge! Caltrans Communications Office Associate, Sarah Len will describe the construction of the new single span suspension bridge for us and show a DVD of the work.

Presentation is at the Village Theater in Danville. Tickets at door: Members $10 Guests $15.
