On a cold winter February 12, 1809 Nancy  Lincoln gave birth to her second child, Abraham in a crude one room cabin on Sinking Springs Farm near Hodgenville, KY.   Lincoln wrote this about his birthplace “I was born and have ever remained in the most humble walks of life.”
